Recycling or the waste station?
Furniture in good condition is best sent for reuse so it finds a new owner. Broken and unusable large items go to an HSY Sortti station, where they are sorted.
The Sortti stations in the capital region are in Kivikko, Konala, Ruskeasanta, Jorvas and Ämmässuo.
How removal works
Removal can happen in the same trip as your move:
- Tell us what needs to go and send a photo.
- We schedule removal for moving day or a separate day.
- We carry the items to the van in one go.
- Usable items go to recycling and unusable ones to a Sortti station.
What isn’t included?
Hazardous waste, such as paint, solvents, batteries and chemicals, is handled separately. Tell us about it in advance so we can agree what to do. Household appliances and electronics are recycled as electrical waste.
What does removal cost?
The price depends on the number and size of items, carrying distance and floors, and any waste station fees. At Sortti stations, for example, the fee for sofas and other large items is based on volume.

We send usable items for reuse whenever possible.
