What does a home move include?
On a home move we carry and transport your belongings from your old home to your new one, within the agreed scope. Before moving day we go through the amount of belongings, access and timing, so the right vehicle and the right number of movers arrive.

How moving day works
Moving day goes best when everyone knows the order in advance. A typical home move runs like this:
- We arrive at the agreed time and go through what is moving and what stays.
- We load large furniture first and boxes after, so the load stays stable.
- We drive to your new address.
- We carry everything in room by room, following your directions.
- Finally, we check together that everything agreed has arrived.
How to prepare
Pack your boxes in advance and label them by destination room. Empty light chests of drawers and disconnect the washing machine following its instructions. Check your housing company’s house rules on booking the lift, and let the property manager know you are moving.
Think about parking in advance. Brief loading and unloading is allowed in a no-parking zone, but not where stopping is prohibited. In Helsinki you can reserve street space if needed by notifying the city of work on a public area.

What does a home move cost?
The price depends on your belongings, the distance, floors, lifts, carrying distances and the help you need. Your quote sets out the work included, the pricing basis and any extra charges before you book. For consumers we always state the total price including VAT.
Extra services for your home move
You can add services to the same quote to make your move lighter:
- Packing service: we pack the whole home or part of it
- Furniture disassembly and assembly at both homes
- Move-out cleaning before you hand over the keys
- Storage if you can’t get into your new home straight away

How early should I ask for a quote?
The earlier, the easier it is to find a suitable day. Summer, and August in particular, is the busiest moving season in Finland, so ask early then.
Can I move at the weekend?
Yes. We do home moves on Saturdays and Sundays too. Check your housing company’s house rules for any limits on noisy work or lift use.
Do I need to pack myself?
You don’t have to. You can pack yourself or book our packing service for the whole home or just the kitchen, for example. Choose packing as an extra service in your quote request.
What should I include in my quote request?
Your home’s size, the largest furniture, floors and lifts at both addresses, any storage room or cellar, parking options and whether your date is flexible.
Can I get the household tax credit for a move?
From the start of 2025, moving work itself, such as packing, carrying and transport, does not qualify for the household tax credit. Moving cleaning and assembly of new furniture can qualify when they are invoiced separately from the move. Check the current rules with the Finnish Tax Administration.
What if my moving details change?
Tell us in advance. We update the quote if needed before any extra work.
