Your quote states whether the move is charged at a fixed total price or by the time actually worked. A fixed price is binding. If you were given a price estimate, the final price for a consumer service may exceed it by at most 15 per cent.
The household tax credit and moving
From the start of 2025, moving work itself, including packing, carrying, transport and taking apart or reassembling old furniture, does not qualify for the household tax credit. Moving cleaning and assembly of new furniture can qualify when they are priced and invoiced separately from the move.

How to keep the price reasonable
Preparation reduces the work on moving day, and with it the cost.
- Pack your boxes in advance and label them by room.
- Declutter before the move: donate, sell or recycle.
- Make sure the van can park close to the door at both addresses.
- Book the lift if your housing company’s rules require it.
- If your date is flexible, give us options. August is Finland’s busiest moving month.
How much does a move in Helsinki cost?

Is VAT included in the price?
For consumers we always state the total price including VAT.

No. A quote request is free and does not commit you to anything.
Can I get the household tax credit for a move?
